Building a blog is very easy. You don’t need to be a computer genius or web developer to create your website. Once you have chosen WordPress as your platform, and Bluehost as your hosting provider. You are ready to start customizing your website by choosing a theme.
When choosing your theme, you want to choose something that feels right and that sets out the tone for your blog topic. WordPress offers thousands of themes that you can choose from to represent your brand or the message you want to come across from your blog.

You can start by using plugins. Plugins give you more features to enhance the functionality of your WordPress site. You will find those again in the WordPress admin area. Some plugins that you should consider are a social media plugin. A few examples are Sumo plugin which allows you to collect subscribers’ emails, sassy social share plugin enables your website visitors to share your article blogs over Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn, Whatsapp, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Reddit. Another plugin that is also a must have is your author bio box plugin. This plugin enables you to display a little bio of yourself as the blog’s author.
As you spend more time creating your beautiful website and writing blog posts here are some free resources you can use to get free photos. Creative Market offers a collection of stock photos, fonts, anything you may need for creative design. You will also find photos or images for your blog at Deposit Photos. They havephotos of every topic you could think of. Canva is a free online editing tool that I also use all the times to make templates or create cover designs.
Other tips to help you navigate WordPress when building your website. To add and create new posts, log in to your WordPress admin area, click on “Posts” on the left-hand side to start new blog post. To add an image, click on “Media” on the left-hand side. Also to add items to your sidebar, or footer, you click on “Appearance,” then “Widgets” in order.
